History of High Point Arts Council
In 1962. High Point Arts Council was formed as a non-profit organization to provide funding and leadership that would stimulate and advance the arts in our community. So much has happened to improve our city since then, and we have been there every step of the way.
Today. High Point Arts Council is located at historic Centennial Station in downtown High Point, and serves as a hub for the arts in the area. We believe the arts create jobs. generate business, drive tourism, and cultivate a vibrant sense of community. HPAC strives to promote. nurture, and amplify the arts through a broad range of activities, entertainment, and education.
In addition to its own arts programming, the High Point Arts Council is a united arts council with three affiliated arts organizations under its umbrella: High Point Ballet, High Point Community Theatre, and High Point Community Concerts. Together with these arts organizations, High Point Arts Council continually contributes to the quality of life where we live, work, and play.
