John Coltrane Jazz Workshop

Since 2002, the High Point Arts Council has honored the legacy of legendary jazz saxophonist John Coltrane by hosting the John Coltrane Jazz Workshop (JCJW) for talented youth in our community.

2025 Summer Camp

July 21 - 25

Eligiblity

  • Middle or High School Student

  • exceptional musical ability in bass, percussion, guitar/keyboard, brass (trumpet, trombone), or woodwind instruments (clarinet, flute, saxophone) and more

  • ONE YEAR of band experience or private lessons

Cost

$165 Partial and full scholarships are available for qualified applicants.

Dates: July 21st - 25th, 2025

Time: 9:00 a.m. to 1 p.m Daily

Location: Penn-Griffin School for the Arts, located at 825 E. Washington Street in High Point. ​

On July 25th at 7:00 p.m., students will showcase their talents in a free jazz concert for the community

​

Deadline to apply is July 1st
